For warranty checking purposes is it safe to supply your IMEI to websites ?
Is there a risk people will try to use it for illegal activities ? Changing IMEI on stolen phones etc ?

Any reputable sites out there ?

Just to warn you, IMEI discussion can be flagged on Boards as a bit dodgy. Be careful.

However, generally is it not wise to disclose your IMEI. People can use it to blacklist your phone, or imitate it, amongst other things. Yes, it is theoretically possible to change your IMEI, but this is against the law.

TL;DR - No, it is not wise to disclose it to people who may not be reputable.
