Are they those bikes sold on Donedeal? I think they're from the same stable as Bentini and Castello and therefore cheap crude rubbish. You'd be much better off buying a good second hand bike than one of those things.

I would seek a second opinion. I have never ridden one but there are several of my club mates who have them and hold them in very high regard. Colm is not going to sell anything that is rubbish.

I've just been looking at that bike shop's website. Those Spyders appear to me to be neither crude or rubbish.

    ^^^^
This.. They are a very decent frame for the money. Colm wont do you wrong. Another clubmte appeared this morning on a brand new one purchased yesterday and proceeded to hand everyone's arse to them, cold , after a climb over Hollywood.
You could do a whole lot worse tbh.

2 clubmates have them, one as BCMF said whipped my arse up the Nags head as I set a lifetime PB....
Another who rides mostly Cervelo's and other high end bikes has one and loves it, brought it to a sportif in France in preference to the others.
The look well made and finished and seem to ride well too.
That shop in Balbriggan is very well regarded and Colm there is an accomplished rider and racer who also rides one.

Maybe I was mistaken in the name I was thinking about, the bikes I seen had thumb shifters on the tops of the bars and 7spd group sets and I associated them with the likes of Bentini and Castello which I can say without doubt are cheap rubbish.

Saw one close up today putting it in car to and from race, in no way could they be called crude or badly finished. As good as any with smooth lines and excellent paint job/finish.
