Not this year but great event and well organised. Bit of a steady climb out of the town but more than made up for by the section along the bypass.

I'll give it a go again this year, didn't do it last year but did two years ago. Its the fastest time I've done at 10 mile distance so I'll be hoping that a good omen. I'll see how I am after the Limerick Half before deciding what time to go for. Last day out at the distance was very positive for me with the clock heading in the right direction, so I'll be hoping to build on that. Very well organised race previously, wondering why a few races lately seem to not bother with online entry, Kilnaboy 10 and now this.

And I wonder what the 'race souvenir' is, very cryptic.... Nice departure from the free t-shirt model hopefully!

Because there is a significant cost involved in online entry, would be my guess

I think there is online entry if you check out the first link in the o.p.
It is the usual 1.50 fee charged though!

Thank you! That was not active the other day when I tried I think... Minus the €5 saving for early entry of course so all good.

Looking at the course, it looks quite flat bar that one stretch...Would this be considered a fast PB course? Similar to Mallow or Dungarvan?

I think it you can get that first 3 miles paced right, it has the potential to be a pb course. I would favour dungarvan though but only slightly.

might look into this for my half marathon prep. what would the slowest times for 10 miles be i dont want to be last!

The last 10 mile I did, the slowest times were about the two hour mark, which is about the norm I would think?

Anyone know if there are pacers in this race. I usually forget my watch if I have to get up early !

I know there was a few two years ago, definately 70, 80 and 90 mins. Just one pacer per time, don't recall seeing a 60 mins pacer that day. Not sure about last year at all. Just picked up number this evening so looking forward to it now.

Just collected the race no. Busy but organised. Nice n sunny but a bit of a wind to contend with. First time here, the club and track look great. Good luck to all.

Just home and on the couch! Tough day out there, found the heat a bit hard to deal with in the second half, over cooked it on the long hill out of town early on too which didn't help... Saw another runner getting assistance late in the race, never nice to see. I was over a minute slower than another tougher 10 mile a month ago, enough said! Well organised apart from the race souvenir not arriving in time for the race, can't be helped I guess (it is what looks like a nice gym bag, so all will be forgiven when we get them) It is a nice course but both times I've done it the wind has had an impact so look forward to doing it on a day with less wind. And Stazza did ok in the 5k too...

Agree with the heat & wind making it tougher than it shoulda been although the lack of water did play a part too. Had an ambulance pass me at mile 8 handing water out the window so I guess they realised the water stops were inadequate for the heat on the day. Happy with my time of 67min flat and the tea n lovely ham&stuffing rolls hit the spot. No doubt will be back again to try and master that hill at mile 9 !!
Met tomred afterwards who looked fresh enough. Dont think he was trying hard enough!!! ;-)

I was fresh enough for a ham stuffing sandwich, that was about it !! Not only did the souviner gym bags not turn up on time but looked like they ran out of chicken as well ........only in Kerry would you get a ham and stuffing sandwich. I had forgotten about the lack of water, there's another excuse I can use! How much was your man in the ambulance charging for a bottle ?:D

Meant to post here that they had arrived! They've had them for a couple of months now. Thought they could have emailed or text people to let them now. They're nice alright, good to get something a little different.
