eircom emobile Lumia windows MMS stopped working

Just in case others have this problem here is my experience.

This week the MMS service on my Nokia Lumia 800 stopped working via eircom emobile, internet data is working. The symptoms are - can't send or receive a picture attachment with a text message. I know whatsapp is a way around it but not everyone uses whatsapp. I tried reconfiguring all the MMS APN stuff but still nothing. I rang emobile support 1800690000 and they just told me to reconfig the same MMS APN details I already tried. I asked if there was something wrong on the network and they said no. The only other option they gave me was to factory default my phone and start again but I wasn't on for that.

I called into the eircom emobile meteor shop in Liffey Valley and explained the problem and he said "you are the 4th or 5th that called in with the same problem". He also said only the Nokia windows phones are affected and it was a software problem with Nokia. I said I didn't upgrade the phone software lately and emobile must have done something to cause the problem. Anyway he kept saying it was a Nokia windows phone problem and he had no more information.

I didn't follow the Nokia route yet but just wondering if anyone knows any more on this issue?
