I pad repair

    A day before my apple I pad warranty was up the home button started to give me trouble. Got onto apple and couldn't believe my luck to find out I had a day left with Apple+ warranty. Went through the whole process and I got an email from them wanting me to put up payment of over 600euro. Girl told me that this is to cover them if I didn't return faulty iPad. Is this the norm? Was told I'd either be sent out a new/refurb unit and to send back old one.

    Yes, they block off your credit card until they receive the broken one back.
