What happens during the test?

hey, I'd just like to find out what exactly happens during the test? I know apart from the normal driving there is the reverse around the corner, hill start and 3 point turn but is there something else like parallel parking?
Is there something on the rsa website that outlines the specifics of the test?

    Thanks :)

Nope. They are the only three specific manouvers that you'll be asked to do. They don't test for parking ability, except for when you are returning to the test centre. Make sure that you pull properly and cleanly into the parking spot, that your car is straight and that your wheels are not on the white lines between spaces.

Other than actual driving, you'll be asked about 5 rules of the road questions, including what certain signs mean. There is the under the bonnet check, where you'll be asked where your oil/brake fluid, power steering fluid, windscreen wiper fluid all go and how you check the levels of them. He'll also have you sit in your car and put on all your lights and indicators to make sure they are working ok. That's about it.

    1) Walk in to the test centre with some time to spare, sit down and wait for your name to be called.

    2) Get in, answer some theory questions.

    3) Walk out to your car, point at some things under the bonnet.

    4) Drive following the testers instructions, as you would on a driving lesson.

    5) Park the car back at test centre, walk in and get your result.

This includes what happens on the day of your test. No parallel parking.
