Aerlingus-Selecting seats?

    Hi. I'm trying to check in online for my flight, going From Frankfurt to Dublin next week.
    It seems I have to select a seat at a cost of 5 euro, is there anyway around this? I know its only 5 euro but I think its a sneaky charge and I don't want to pay it.

    I havent flown with them in a while but i think maybe 24 hours before the flight - if you check in then you can select your seats for free. I used to fly on a regular basis with them from Scotland and this was what i always did.

    As you're some days away from travelling, you're essentially paying for the convenience of a very early check-in.

    If you hold off 'til 30 hours before departure, you'll then be able to select a seat with no charges incurred.
