Painting wardrobe doors/sides

    I have a couple of wardrobes which I would like to brighten up ..with paint. They are made of that shiny(ish) brown material.
    Can these be hand painted with a brush . What is the procedure ...preparation.. type of paint etc.

    1. Clean down with white spirits
    2. Apply 2 coats of zinnser bin primer
    3. Apply top coat colour of choice (satinwood finish)

    Done.
