    Hi lads,

I have a 1998 Corolla saloon, the blower isn't blowing out much air, only a very small amount, the fan is working away but not a lot is coming out of the vents. Any idea where to start?

    Cabin filter blocked maybe?

cabin filter is definitely worth a look. ten minutes would change it, or at least take the heavy debris out :pac:

that said i think the blower unit itself is a weak spot in these cars, i've had one with an extremely weak blower and another where it has seized altogether.

Have you checked the coolant level?
The same was happening with my Celica when the coolant was low, so it could be a wider issue with Toyotas.

Does a 98 corolla even have a cabin filter. I had two 98's and none of them had a cabin filter even though the slot was there for it and one could be retrofitted.

i had a 99 saloon with a no a/c that had a cabin filter and a 00 3 door hatch with a/c that had one also...

clearly the previous owners didn't know it had one as they were both pretty shocking.
