Acer or Asus ?

Hi All

Just looking at new laptops atm and the above two seem to offer the best value.

What do ye reckon is the more reliable of the two and is better built.

What is the after sales support like on both ?

Definitely better build quality on the Asus. Especially in the medium to high price range

It’s the lower end I am looking at so not sure if the Asus would be poorer

Acer is slightly higher spec'd in terms of RAM and storage and the Asus doesn't look like it comes with a card reader. Bit of a toss-up really as the Asus is proably the better built. Having said that the keyboards on the cheaper Asus machines are decidely plasticky even in the body is pretty decent
