    hi There

I am currently painting the outside walls. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to cover the windows so that we don't get too much splash on the window frame and the glass. is there any plastic readily available for this?

    thanks

You could just use a sheet and wedge it between the top and bottom of the window with two pieces of wood. This should protect the windows from spray while you paint the walls.

This is where a steady hand and a good brush is required :)

You can buy sets of very very light sheeting, thinner and lighter than plastic bag plastic, with adhesive on one side. Got a set in some place like Lidl or Aldi a couple of years back, a fiver or something for a whole set of dust sheets. If you can't find them, I guess masking tape and dust sheets, though would check it first so that it doesn't stick fast.

Best advice. It's only sills. Don't waste your money on overpriced masking products. Take your time and you wont spill a drop.

As above, at least try it on one of the smaller window reveals before spending all that cash. When you're done treat yourself to a chinese and a bottle of wine with that 30-40 notes.

Measure the window, H x W and tape a few news papers together with size you have and stick up, doesn't have to be exact but just enough to cover windows...
