Cycling through Phoenix Park this morning saw loads of cars parked at pedestrian entrance from Blackhorse then saw Gardai on Blackhorse Avenue. Anyone know what's going on?

There was a war commemoration in Grangegorman Cemetery off Blackhouse Avenue this morning. Gardai were managing the traffic by the looks.

There is a military graveyard on Blackhorse avenue. Today is Anzac Day and
dawn services are being held (around the world) in memory of those who died fighting for the Anzacs in world war one.

6,500 Irish emigrants enlisted ,of which 900 died.

There is an article in The Irish Times you can google ( "Irish killed fighting for Anzac forces remembered in ceremony").
