Problem with screen repair

    I recently bought a Compaq CQ61 which had a broken screen, with the intention of replacing the screen.

    I bought the exact same screen, second hand on eBay. The seller had 800+ feedback.

    I installed the screen ,, but when I turn it on the screen is Yellow where it should be black , and all the colours are wrong.

    I can think of three potential reasons ..

    1. I've screwed up the installation and have missed something
    2. Faulty screen
    3. Faulty motherboard.


    Does anyone know the likely answer?

    For anyone reading, it was a loose cable at the back of the LCD. All sorted now :D
