The kids wont own up but my dishwasher door wont close properly and I think one of them leaned on it while messing around clearing up. Its not bent drastically and just wont close properly and keeps switching off. Is this sort of thing covered by house insurance??

just insert a spacer at both sides above the hinges and press the door closed, usually works for me unless badly distorted. A screwdriver blade or something similar will do the job.

Thanks for that tip. It did help the door register as closed but it's not dampening the noise so probably still need to get it sorted. Anyone know the answer to my initial home insurance question?

As for home insurance, if you have accidental damage cover, then chances are that you're OK.
