Hiya, I started to have issues with my bath shower mixer tap.
The mixer part which suppose to mix cold and hot water does turn, but doesn't turn the inner element and therefore isn't working.

I managed to make it work few times (by overturning it), but it gives more and more troubles recently.

Has anyone any ideas on how to disassemble this part to inspect what exactly went wrong? What tools can I use to open it up and is it easy to repair or break :) ?

It's very similar to one of these (delete spaces)

Without a makers name its hard to say if parts are available.
Might be easier to replace the mixer unit.
With the connections on the tap pillars that you have it should be a very straightforward job.
