    Hi all,

I am looking at booking accommodation for a family of 4, and looking for any recommendations?

Preference would be apartment type accommodation.

Thinking of Hogg and Mitchells - link

    Thanks in advance!
    Keith.

Have been in that apartment block before(in the residential part) and it's all pretty modern. The location couldn't be much more central either but it still shouldn't be too noisy on that street. Should be easy enough to find onstreet parking nearby too. If not, there's a few carparks right beside it.

I might be wrong, but I think that there might be a lot of people getting housing benefit living in that block (tried to word that in the most PC way possible). Perhaps there are 2 separate parts? The pics do look very nice to be fair.

    It is very central though.

On street parking would only be for an hour at a time during the day, so you would have to keep moving. A multi storey across the street and another car park about 1 min walk away.

Thanks for Niman - any other suggestions?? Even somewhere along the Antrim Coast (with a day trip to Derry of course!)

Please don't let me put you off that Hoggs place, I may be totally wrong, I always thought it was a place for private renting that may not have had the best types in it, but I could be way off the mark.

Its very central and would be ideal if you weren't driving.

Here's another spot, its a couple of new little cabins built in the grounds of someones house under the Foyle Bridge, which is a couple of miles out of the city. They look the part anyway.

Ah no, having to park elsewhere is putting off anyhow.
Those cabins look ideal - but they look like 1 bedroom only - will give them a shout anyhow. Thanks for the link

Would you (or anybody reading this) recommend any town around Derry towards Antrim coast?

The multistorey for that Hoggs place is literally across the street, less than 2mins walk away.

As a Derry man I'd recommend you stay in Derry of course, but if you want to consider somewhere else along the Antrim coats perhaps Portstewart or Portrush? I'd go with the former myself, top quality beach, prefer it. But Portrush only a few miles further along the coast and plenty of amusements for the kids.

Any more questions, feel free to ask.

    What ages are the kids?

The above place has a nice little two bed cottage on their grounds to rent, quiet yet handy enough to town as well. Sounds pricey going by the below link:

If you like it I'd say you might get a better price if you contacted them directly.

Again thanks for the advice Nimam - boys are 4 and 9!
Options still wide open if I can find decent accommodation- will take a look in both places. Either way - will be spending time in wonderful Derry - have never been but hear great things!!

Nice spot alright - coming in a bit pricey alright through AirBnB- nearly £400 for 2 nights. Will drop them an email and see how I get on.
