Can I place cotton around the sides off my coil? the coil is set in a ceramic base, or is it better not to!

What type of device is that?

It's just an atomizer with a ceramic base(liquid holder)... Can't really call it a dripper as it holds about 1ml off juice...

As long as you leave enough room for air to get through from the bottom you can put more cotton in but you'd be wasting all that liquid-holding capacity.
Unless you mean around the coil and above the top of the airhole? Then you're creating capacity, in which case do it!

Some say that more cotton just slows the wicking speed of the liquid down.....am kinda wrestling with cotton at the moment....have failed to get it working properly on a Sophia....will return to this again, and decided to re wick various atomisers with Silica just for the lifespan tbh......
