    Hi Guys,
    Looking for a bit of information. I have a stack of trees that were felled during the winter. The stack looks like a large hedge.

    I wanted to block up the trees and split them this spring, but the birds have taken over the stack. I have many birds nesting there at the moment. Most active is a pair of Blackbirds.

    I love all birds and wouldn't disturb them while they are nesting. I won't even go into the outbuilding where the Swallows are now nesting. My question is: when will it be safe to go at the stack of trees with a chainsaw? That is, when will the later nesters have left their nests for good?

    It all depends on the species. Blackbirds incubate for 10 to 19 days with the young fledging about 15 to 20 days later. Butv other birds could nest during that period. Overall it would not be totally clear potentially until late August.
