I'm heading off to Manchester for the bank holiday weekend and have to change money! I've been told i'm better off to use cash as the conversion on a bank card is a rob! So I'm looking for where the best deal is with exchanging :)

    Thanks in advance!

Depends on a lot of things such as your bank, the type of account that you have, how much you take out.... I wouldn't bother changing money just for the weekend if it was me. The card makes up for more than the hassle of going out drinking with a load of cash.

Your local Post Office will do it at zero commission, rate is here...

Zero commission doesn't always mean the best deal, the post office effectively has the commission buried in the exchange rate. Check AIB and BOI's rates, one of them (more often AIB these days) is usually better than the post office, even allowing for their 1% commission.
