    So, AHers,

How do you deal with moronic, condescending pricks ?

    "Salient" is a top word.

    Salient! :pac:

Once you say "I'll definitely vote for you" they move on.

Let them make fools of themselves. If you how they act other people will as well.

I'd need to know who was actually right or correct first.

The phrase "I take your point".

What does that even mean? It's just filler and makes up 40% of Joe Duffy. The rest is "Y'know" and "Sure look".

I just nod, smile a bit and then leave their company and forget all about them.

Life is too short to be wound up by muppets.

It is no small thing said that you have said and if it is true for you then it is no lie you have told, but the truth.

What do you have against the word salient? It's perfectly cromulent

Using slightly less common words needn't be condescending....

...unless of course the poor little cherub reading your carefully constructed prose hasn't quite understood it and you have to help them out. Bless

"Withdraw your statement" with dramatic effect or glove slap.

When confronted by irritating, condescending people at work, I launch into "technical", which I do very well. Technical tends to shut up 99% of people pdq. I have proudly sent people e-mails that contained not a single word of BS but that were utterly incomprehensible to someone not grasping a dictionary and a users manual. I do good technical. I also do fast technical due to a motor-mouth. This is an asset.
