    Hi.

I've been told that Revenue will not accept CT1s where the accounting year end is less than 1 year long, except in cases where a company is being wound up.

    Is this true ?

I do not believe this to be the case.

If you are submitting a CT1 with less than a 12 month period, I would advise you to inform Revenue about this. If you are submitting the return via ROS, ROS will need to reflect the accounting period exactly. It is standard that CT1s will be issued based on the accounting period on the previous year. If they accounting period has changed, ROS will need to be updated by Revenue to reflect this change.
