looking at a used MPV - likely one of the above

Budget, year, type of use and annual mileage/petrol/diesel...... if you post these up people may be able to advise you, otherwise there are two many variables.

How many seats would you be using at once? How many passengers/child seats etc, how often would rearmost seats be used?

3 kids so 3 seats being used - rear seats would be only rarely used
Is mostly space needed for sports bags, school bags, prams shopping musical instruments etc

budget would be about 5 k, use would be just school runs/ shopping so nothing too extravagent

You may struggle with 3 kids and luggage space needed in a Zafira or Picasso. I don't even think the original Picasso has a 3rd row of seats and you probably will not get a Grande Picasso for €5k. Zafira has a 3rd row of seats but they eat into the boot space when used.

You really should look at a full size MPV like a Ford Galaxy or Seat Alhambra.
