I've been attending a level 7 course in the second year, however I've decided to leave the course due to a lack of motivation and the fact that I poor performance and grades from the first semester of this year.

Question is that I'm currently receiving BTEA and want to leave the course next week once the Easter break ends, but the welfare office have sent out a letter asking for proof that I was registered as a full time student for this academic year, since I could only provide a temporary registration letter at the beginning of the year due to SUSI grant taking too long.

I was planning to withdraw from the course next week after talking to the course leader. However I don't know how to go about obtaining the registration letter and also withdrawing from the course, as I think this looks bad.

What should I do? I've been stressed out enough over wanting to leave the course and now the welfare office doesn't help with the pressure

I would suggest that you finish the year, I know that might be hard, but it would make the transition seamless....
I would get the letter from the college saying you are full time student, continue getting back to education until the summer change over in a few weeks and you will seamlessly get jobseekers. You will get a form to fill in stating that you do not intend to carry on in education next academic year.
Good luck... Talk to the college also, they may give you better options, dropping out so late in to the year might make future choices difficult.

I already sent back that form about a 2 weeks ago. I stated I was going into third year. Only recently I've decided to leave. Would it matter if I don't sit the exams, as it would be utterly pointless for me to do so.

Get a letter from the college stating that you have left the course and the date. Take it into you local sw office and they will put you back on monthly signing and put your money back to post office payment.
