I'm a beginner runner running 10km twice a week and I always manage to get a stitch when I run. I have tried not eating/drinking 2 hrs before the run but still happening. It's getting frustrating now as it's spoiling my runs. Would love if anyone has any tips??? Cheers..

Try to slow down a bit, and concentrate on your breathing, slow deep breaths. Most of your running should not have you out of breath. Once I made these changes I no longer had problems with a stitch.

also make sure you are properly hydrated.

Like adrian, I found that things improved for me when I slowed down a lot on my runs. At least, start out your runs really really slowly and build up the speed gradually. In saying that, I'd still get the odd stitch now and again and if I had the answer to solving the whole stitch problem, I'd be a rich woman!
Like you, I have to eat at least 2.5 hours before running as that will always bring on a stitch. If you do get one, try pressing really hard on the area and concentrate on even breathing.
Good luck with and and try not to let it hinder your progress. Easier said than done I know... but you will find that as you get generally fitter, it won't be such a problem for you.
