Anyone have an opinion r technique savy in relation to if a freehub takes a bit of riding to break In / loosen out

I put a new campy freehub on a set of fulcrums and comparing it to an older similar freehub the older one seems to run better / looser when freewheeling ,

    Thanks

It should not need to be broken in at all.

Worn bearings and/or lack of grease will typically make an unloaded freehub (or bottom bracket, pedal, hub, etc.) spin more freely. But once you apply a load, something worn that was free-spinning before can be quite the opposite in actual use.

That doesn't rule out the possibility of there being some issue with the new freehub, of course, or a problem due to something having gone awry while installing it.
