Hi wierd issue I'm not sure if its due to some update but whenever I try and launch internet explorer from its tile or from the desktop I get internet explorer has stopped working and the usual "a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"
Now I can start it from the run command using iexplore.exe /extoff, but no way it starts normally even disabling the extensions. I have even tried un-installing and re-installing it still no joy. Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks

Right-Click the shortcut on the task bar quick launch section and check what the Target field says.

Exact same fault described here. Bunch of people offered suggestions for resolving this - might be worth trying a couple:

As per one suggestion I disabled all the add-ons & enabled one by one but to no avail. However it is working again now but not by anything I've done I think !

I had to uninstall KB2919355 which I think is the 8.1 update as I read somewhere about installing it from the MS store but it didn't find it so, I just went off and re-installed it and internet explorer started working again!
