Just wondering what's the commute like from Limerick City out to Newcastle West in the morning.

AA Roadwatch are giving me a time of 35mins for the 42Km journey.

Would the traffic be bad from the city centre out?

Newcastle west to Limerick, keeping within the speed limits and no traffic, usually takes around 35 minutes.

Adare will be your issue. It is the only town en route that is not by-passed, and at peak times, especially during the summer it will add at least 25 minutes to your journey time.

Did that commute for ten years. Very doable. 40 mins is loads, road always passable in winter.

Never done it in the morning, but getting through Adare in the evening can be absolute madness.

What time do you have to be in NCW at? Adare can be empty one minute and bumper to bumper 5 mins later.
