    Hi guys

Playing for years but a total dunce when it comes to the technical stuff, technology and me dont mix generally!

Anyway, I have an old P-Bass knock off that I want to upgrade. It was my first bass and while it plays nice and the neck in great, the electronics are awful. I need new pick ups, jack and pots but i'm clueless and after scrolling through thomann for hours i'm none the wiser.

My budget is €100 give or take.

Looking for warm tones, nice lows and mids.

What i'm looking for is suggestions of parts that i can order and install.

Any help will be met by my own personal thumbs up

    would be an improvement!

i swear i have a set out of a fender p but damned if i can find them!

keep an eye on adverts tho!

as an aside have you ever played flatwound strings? have a whole tone of their own! only played one for the first time a few months ago very revealing!
not for metal though if that's your thing!

the jack might just need to be tightened and the spring contact adjusted

Plus one to giving flats a try, if the tone you describe is what you are after. Strings play a very important part in the over all tone.

    thanks will certainly try flats

was thinking diMarzio DP122 pickup as the fender 62 reissues are a bit pricey. dont fancy the duncan quarter pounders everyone raves about
