I sent off a Job Application earlier today and a few hours later I got an email back asking me for my College Results to date.
Is this just screening or does it mean they liked my CV and are interested?

Bit of both, perhaps? Do they have strict entry requirements? What's the job?

It didn't specify academic requirements as such. Its a graduate accountantcy job

Is it possible you missed their asking for it on the application?

Or it could be they've a rubbish application form/process, and have to request this.

Either way, I'd tend to view it as them simply looking to get more complete information to assess your application against others for which they have that information?

quite a few people lie about exam results. There is a decent amount of employers out there now that will request some proof.

In that case, possibly screening? Accountancy firms like to hear about results. :)

It just says you must have an Honours Degree and your accounting exemptions.
I have a Fail on record which I wont lie about but might just say its pending repeat ro get a higher grade, which it is

They are just checking that you have the grades in that case so I'd say

My results are fairly average. Mostly C's with a few B and D grades thrown in there so its a 2:2 but I did say that on my CV.
I've got a few other things on it which I hope might work in my favour

Sent it to them and they didn't send a eply so I have a feeling it was just screening.
I originally thought they had read my CV and were impressed but not so hopeful now
