    01 ford galaxy diesel
Has been vibrating for a while,it's got a lot worse lately, got new tyres and got them aligned and its still the same, the vibration appears to be coming from the front passenger side, there's also a noise from the same side when going around a bend
It's booked into garage tomorrow evening but just wondering if anyone has any ideas

Don't like the sound of that!
    Expensive to fix?

    CV Joint?

    Bearings or cv axle?

Also, check if the nuts are tightened on the wheels to rule them out.

Thanks for all the replies,I should also mention that the vibration still occurs when the car is stationary, and that the noise from the wheel only occurs when the car is turning right, are the 2 problems connected?

See if you have failing engine mounts, they will cause the symptoms described

Just a little update on this.
Mechanic hasn't had a look yet but he did say that it was more then likely the tyres.
When I got tyres in February the tyre centre put 2 winter tyres on the front.which we only noticed when the mechanic pointed it out.
    Would this be the problem?
He also said the winter tyres won't pass the nct at this time of year and are a death trap driving them in summer

Grounds for a serious complaint to the tyre centre I would guess.:(

Would I still be able to do that? Even though I have them since February?

If you did'nt ask for winter tyres and they did'nt tell you, then goods were'nt fit for purpose. Check your receipt and in any case at least let them know, could have happened to a number of customers and like you are unware of possible dangers.

They will pass the NCT and they will wear quicker. Won't cause the vibration.

But considering the fact they put Winters tyres on off season without pointing it out to you, I would question anything they have done. So I'd get them balanced and the car tracked somewhere else.

Lies and scaremongering. Seems like a good mechanic

Just an update on this, mechanic had it for a few days, said its not the drive shaft,it "might" be some inner rod thing under the gearbox. Car is also now making noise when steering around bends all noise and vibration is coming from passenger side.
He gave it a full service and I was hoping to actually know what is wrong with the car after that, the inner rod part I €340 and I just want to fully know that that I the problem before I buy it.
Nct is up,booked in for end of July and travelling to Killarney in August so needs to be sorted by then
Would the nct pick up exactly what the problem might be? As I could prob get a cancellation.
