Compassionate Leave - Mother In Law

    Well sort of.

    My Girlfriends mother just died. We live together (Common Law Spouse) and have kids together.
    But we are not married.

    Public Sector Employment btw.
    HR are checking for me but are not aware of any allownaces for it.

    Legally there's no allowance for it; from Citizeninformation.
    If a member of your close family dies you have no entitlement to force majeure leave. Other compassionate leave not covered by force majeure leave will depend on your employment contract, custom and practice within your workplace or the employer's discretion.
