    Hi,

I'm interested in purchasing this lens but I 'm wondering if anyone has used it. I will be using it on a 5D mk 2 camera and want to know whether i'm better off saving for the 100mm macro lens.

    Thanks

I got a Tamron 90mm macro (for Nikon) about 2 years back and I've been really happy with it. I'd recommend it, the main advantage is price of course but the lens is well built and the images are sharp.

I use Pixel Peeper to get an idea of how a lens will/can perform. It's pretty good, here's the results for the Tamron 90mm F2.8

You can select the megapixels to match your camera if you like. Pretty cool tool :)
