I hope I have this in the right forum.

Please see this link to the site for Mad Men (the tv program).

You see the tag (??) poster across the top - the psychedelic picture.

I am looking to use this for a (large) picture.
    So my questions!

    How do I use this???
How do I get it from the website??
How do I remove the pic/man from it? How do I remove the wording??

    Then finally, where/how do I get it printed (large) - approx 135cm x 30cm

    Edit.
I will post some pics of what I am thinking

The images/program is copyright protected, so you can't do what you want, without the expressed permission from the copyright holder.

I was thinking that as I typed!!!!!!!! And I figured you guys would tell me if this was the case.

Silly question, how do I/you know it is copyrighted?

Because every image is copyright by default. Once the image is taken it is the copyright of the photographer (although this can vary depending on where it is taken and what is involved).

A TV show is copyright to the company that produces it, in this case, I believe the copyright rests with AMC.

You should always assume it is covered by copyright, unless you are 100% sure it's not, or you have a license to print or copyright release.

They (http://www.amctv.com/shows/mad-men/downloads) give the image away free as a download.
It's only 851x351 pixels in size - not enough IMO to enlarge as you wish - but a starting point.

You've really no hope of extracting it from the website.

It looks like it could be a known piece of art. You might be able to buy a print cheaply enough.

Thanks Diesel I am thinking of enlarging it, printing it (bad pixels and all) and then handpainting over it...

    What do you think???

    I've been trying to!

It was commissioned by AMC - it is by Milton Glaser - he of "I heart NY" logo!

I don't necessarily have thoughts on it - if it rocks your boat - Go for it !
If going for it, I'ld de-saturate it and tune it to high contrast and then over expose.... to create only the border areas.
From there - then enlarge and paint 'Between the lines'

Go for it - and post a pic !

What do you want the picture/photo for? Are you just looking for a poster for your wall? Try searching online for royalty free photos/images? I'm may be wrong but, if it's for a non-commercial use, you pay once for the photo/picture.
