    A few of us artists living in east County Galway have been wanting to start a network of sorts for some time and we've finally gotten it together!!


    East Galway Artist's Network are having their inaugural meeting on Thursday 1st of April at 9pm in the Raheen Woods hotel, Athenry.

    1. We hope that the meetings will be an opportunity to share info regarding grants, funding opportunities, bursaries, events & festivals
    2. We want to give support to each others projects & fundraisers
    3. We want to broaden our contacts and friends in the industry so we can explore collaborations, mentoring and a Christmas party/social life
    4. We would love artists from all disciplines including Visual Art, Performance, Music, Literature, TV & Film, Dance

    Gliondar Community Arts Group in Association with East Galway Artists Network are organizing an Art Trail in Athenry in August and are looking for submissions from artists.


    East Galway Artist Network would like to invite members to submit for its August exhibition which will be held in Athenry. The exhibition will run from the 9th of August for two weeks. Work will be displayed in two venues which will be converted into a gallery space along with some shop windows in the the town. Artists are invited to submit 2d or 3d... work. A maximum of 3 pieces can be submitted. A 10 euro submission fee applies per piece or 20 euro for two or more, if the application is successfull. Any artist submitting 3d work must supply a white plinth. East Galway Artist's network will not be held accountable for any damage or theft during the exhibition. All work exhibited is done so at the artist's own risk.

    Closing date for application is 14.07.14. Any work submitted after this date will not be considered for the exhibition. Artists exhibiting will be expected to help with the installation and invigilation of the exhibition.

    Application

    Artists must provide the following:
    * A small biog and or artist's statement
    * Images of work
    * Titles, Dimensions and Price of work
    * Brief description of work
