Exercises for Shin Splints and improving speed

I have been running nearly two years now, I did my first half marathon last December, but I mainly do track sessions and then anything from 5k to 12k races. I have been suffering from shins splints since January though. ( I regularly go to sports physio, use Skins, and got a foot gate analysis done on my foot pronations). Which is affecting my pace and times. Which are the best exercises to help with shins splints? Are they any good performance supplements that could help with my recovery?

For me shin splints/shin issues related back to my foot strike, particularly over-striding (heel striking). I did simple exercises to improve my cadence speed. This helped to move to a midfoot strike and I never have had an issues since, despite running 99% of my running on the road (as I frantically look for wood to touch!)

I can probably find those videos but correct diagnosis is the main thing. I am just speaking of my personal experience.

What has the Physio said about them, he is the professional after-all? Personally I suffer from them too and am waiting until after the wexford half to get analysis of my foot strike done,I know I am a heel striker with over pronation so not the best combination!!
I have found though that KT tape has really helped with mine and alot of people swear by it but again it is on a temporary solution until I get to fix root cause of my shin splints.
