Employment verification...

I just started a new job at McDonald's and my landlord recently told me he needs a letter from my employer for employment verification.

Am I allowed to show/give a copy of my contract with McDonald's to a third party as a proof of employment instead of asking my manager for a letter?

    Thanks

Most companies will produce a letter confirming that you are employed. I've had it done before. The letter didn't contain any information on salary, just confirmed that I was employed.
