Hi all, hope I am posting in the right place. My wife has an opportunity to work in America and I am wondering as I am a qualified plumber does my qualification stand over there or what? I'll appreciate any feedback and thanks for your help.

The first question is: what type of visa is your wife getting? Some only allow the spouse to accompany her not to work.

I could be wrong but I think it's a 7 year apprentiship over there and our qualification doesn't stand up in the US. You could probably get a job helping out a plumber, but would be on less money

That's what I was worried about that my qualification would not be sufficient. I'm was trying to look it up but finding it hard to get any information. Thanks for your help.
