Does anyone have any proof as to knowing will a pheasant hen hatched from an egg by broody chicken go on to hatch their own clutches as a wild bird would do.
Does the type of land dictate futher generations staying around release area.
It's 99% grass land and cattle. Very little if any cereal crops grown.

Have a meeting and see can ye fence off a few corners and harrow it and plant some game crop , u don't need huge areas bout 20x20 meters if ya have a few of these area then birds will stay around and u give them the best chance of breeding and keeping an eye on them .

It's great for hunting dogs too

Ill raise it if theres an AGM. Farmers cut hedges hard too. Theres not much wild places anymore.
I might put some down myself and see how it goes. What game crops do best in our climate. I can put a feeder in my field at least.
    Thanks for the tips.
