Replacing Drainage Pump - Zanussi Washing Machine

    Hi,
    I have a Zanussi Jetstream+ 1400 7kg.
Having spent the last few days going through the internet, I'm fairly confident it needs a new drainage pump. My question is where I might get such a thing in Dublin and whether I can expect to be able to replace it myself. I can find no instructions as such online.

I've checked the filter etc for blockages and it definitely looks like the pumo is simply no longer able to drain the water and it makes a weird noise when trying to do so. Error codes on the machine display also seem to indicate a pump malfunction of some kind. From looking at the machine the only way of accessing the pump seems to be from underneath the machine. Does this sound correct?

    My thanks for any replies.

Can you get one in Dublin -Probably can, can you replace yourself- don't know, if you can remove the old one there is a good chance you will be able to re fit the new one, disconnect it from mains and water , remove the filter and soap dispenser box to drain any remaining water and lay it on its side, just remove the elec. section of the pump assembly (usually grey) and replace it. if you cant find one in Dublin either Exsparetise or Quinnspares in Tullamore will have one and you will have it next morning as long as you have a credit card . both are on the net
