As I was at the WDAI seminer this year, this question did pop up and the answer was yes, from the vet, as you cook the meat the TB is distroyed, there like little veins in the meat very small a couple of mm long.Deer are less likley to carry TB as it all about coming into contact witht the likes of cattle or other Farm animals.

Enjoy your Hunting, also you should be typing in lower case, not upper case as this means your shouting, and if all the Deer in Wicklow have TB they are Fecked, so where did you hear this. more scare mongering.

If you take the lungs , there are little glands running down the the center where the two lungs connect , if there swollen and u cut them open and you get like a tick cheesy like **** out of them then u got a deer with tb , and that's bull**** about all the deer in Wicklow having tb

Plenty of glands all over the deer you can check. Don't get caught up in things like that. You will notice if there is something wrong. I was told if you can't find them not to worry. And alway consider a deer to be healty unless something tells you otherwise.

Join the wild deer association and go to there seminars there great. But the best experience you will get is out with a good stalker. I've been out on a section latly tagging along and the amount I've learned is unreal. Just from been out with an experienced stalker.

Regards tb cooking does kill everything but I would in my bollox eat it or bring it home to my house with my kids or even have it in the car van or jeep. I think the carcass should be reported the disposed of and sometimes the department might take them for examination.

To many deer out there to be eating ones with tb.

Unless the carcass is emaciated or stink to high heaven eat away.HOWEVER leave the pluck)liver heart lungs)Dont eat them on a suspected TB deer.

The old expression of 'if in doubt, feck it out' is a good rule of thumb. But to be honest most people today wouldn't know meat if it wasn't in a plastic wrapper so I hesitate to promote this as a lot of perfectly good food is thrown out on a day to day basis.

One shot on kill is spot on, get out with experienced stalkers and get your hands bloody.
