A 2.0 tdi van is 333 to tax a year on commercial tax. Would it be cheaper to tax private. Does it now go on emissions, vw 2.0 tdi year12

Are you using it commercially or privately?

Why would a 2012 van be taxed on a cc basis?
Didn't it change over to co2 basis for vehicles registered post 2008?

CO2 rates applies to cars only.

Standard tax class for goods vehicles (like vans or trucks) is under "goods vehicles tax" (which is often named as commercial tax). Once van is used only for private purposes, then you can't tax it as goods vehicle.

For any vehicle which can't be taxed under is standard tax class (like above), tax rates based on engine size applies.
