Don't need to be hitting these wides especially when a free man is on for a goal

Howya Lapin. No sadly I'm stuck in the house (although the sun is splitting the rocks).

Big Joe is in the game thank ****. Canning about to turn up too.

Brilliant goal saving block from Ronan Burke followed up by a sweet Cathal Mannion score. That'll do nicely.

Joe pulling on fresh air there.

    Should have buried that.

Lovely sly bit of strap pulling of the helmet there but we were mighty lucky to get the free out.

Conor Cooney has stood up bigtime this League. Almost in a Freaky Friday scenario with Canning, who hasn't had a great game by his high standards. Harte, Collins, Brehony, Smith and Ronan Burke are very impressive too.

Canning has had a nightmare but fairplay Callanan is unreal

Just a few points on the game so far.
The hooking and blocking from both sides has been top class.
Kilkenny seem to be using the hand pass alot more particularly in defence.
    Henry Shefflin is a genius.

The mind boggles at how the yob Glennon is considered good enough to be on the field.

For the amount of ball he gets as a sub he hasn't shown anything since this time last year. Very easy to pin-point as a danger man and win possession.

A professional foul by JJ on Glynn there. Was clean through on goal. Free was missed and the foul was rewarded in the end.

Good win for Kilkenny in the end but i couldnt see a 70 minute performance like that being good enough the next day to win it.

Pretty poor fare from both sides.

Good 2nd half for Kilkenny. Seemed first to every ball. Galway probably ruing all the bad wides they had in the first half when they were on top. Should have had a bigger lead built up before playing into the wind.

He's incapable of winning his own ball there has to be better options than him.

I see A Cunningham moaning about the ref and advantage rule. Glynn was fouled by JJ Delaney but still had to get by Kennedy and the goalkeeper. When the whistle was blown both Kennedy and Murphy stood up, Glynn harmlessly put the ball in the net. A goal was never a certainty.

Galway had a few missed chances but Kilkenny had at least four missed goal chances. Five points up at half time was never going to be enough playing against a strong wind in the second half. The better team won with Henry showing the work rate that's required.

    Was Joe not fully fit?

Was at the game on Sunday and all in all thought it was a pretty lackluster performance on both sides.

Kilkenny didn't seem to be playing with the same level of intensity that they have been throughout the league but I'm sure the strong wind in the first half was a factor.

Was surprised that Joe Canning had a fairly quiet game and from what I saw didn't seem to capitalise on the ball when he got possession. Cooney was excellent though.

Looking forward to the final now, hard to call it as Tipp have been very unpredictable this league but should be a cracker.
