    Hi,
I am wondering if I need a solicitor when purchasing a very small piece of land at the back of our house? Only 0.2 of an acre and very reasonable price. It seems ridiculous to fork out solicitor fees on both sides which would be more expensive than the cost of the land in question. Is it possible to legally do it yourself and if so, what do I need to do- forms/land registry/stamp duty etc. Thanks.

Don't think it's possible and furthermore, both sides must now have different solicitors.
