I went to a meeting of the Next Generation Camera Club in Harolds Cross on Thursday evening and it was a most enjoyable experience. Models, product, still life, all covered. And a couple of photographers who's work I really admire also turned up! Not to mention a model and MUA in attendance! It was only the second meeting but definitely a promising start.

    Hi Ben,
I was recently added to the group on facebook. It says that membership fee starts at €100. Can you tell me what you get for that and what the other price brackets are? Also is there an additional fee each time you turn up or is it a once off payment?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Also interested in this, sounds great can you give mus more detail please?

I don't have much more detail yet myself. There was no requirement to sign up on the night so I haven't asked all the hard questions myself yet

I'd suggest making direct contact via the fb link or the website below. Or just turn up on Thursday (pretty sure you won't be forced to pay at the door!). I expect to be there myself.

Just a reminder this is on this evening.

Per the fb page, tonight's theme is editorial headshots. 3 models. Bring your camera.

Don't think I can make tonight but it sounds great. Whats on the menu next week does anyone know?

How did this go. I just came across this now and I am very interested.

Good. Models (hair & makeup professionally done) & lighting pretty much ready to go when I arrived. 6/7 photographers but not a free-for-all. Probably a bit quieter due to Easter break and a beautiful evening!

I need to sign up for membership now (it wouldn't be fair to keep attending and not pay up!) There is a tip jar for the models/mua (doesn't matter if it's €1 or €20 according to the email blurb I got) but I don't think that's unreasonable.

But just to re-iterate, I'd suggest contacting the club via the links above rather than rely on me for full information.

Did you make it last night? There were a few new faces in attendance. I wasn't going to ask people for their boards names.

It was a bit of fun even if the theme wasn't strictly up my street.
