I have one. I know it's limitations. The numbers on their own don't mean anything but do show trends in form etc in Strava which i think is great

I have a powertap that I use training and b races on the road bike, if I'm racing, I use my race wheels and the powercal, it is pretty consistent and fills in data that used be missing when I rode with HR only in races. I use it as well for the MTB, it means all my training /racing can be part of the bigger picture, and it gives a much better estimation than one without any power....
I would definitely recommend one, doesn't cost much more than a regular HR strap.

I have one and honestly I think it's a big piece of bad ideas combined with bad implementation, to put it nicely. It's not consistent, not even as an HRM. I contacted cycle ops and they more or less told me it's normal and I have to wear it tighter to my body, I ve been meaning to send it back to wiggle but I forgot. You can buy mine if you want :)

Thanks for the offer astra but after reading up a bit more on it I reckon I'll hold out for a bit and get a stages power meter instead
