How much Hay or Silage does a 350kg bullock eat?

    how long would bale of silage last 1 bullock 350kg?

    round bale of hay?

    small square of hay?


    ive no experience with hay, but i think a round bale of silage, well, it used to do me 7 days with 3 bullocks,

    what do others think?

    1.8% of his body weight in dry matter. 350 kg x 0.018 = 6.3 kg DM
    If the bale of silage is 500 kg and 25% DM = 125 kg DM so 1 bale will last 3 350 kg bullocks 125/6.3/3 = 6.6 days.
