Where did you ladies get your shoes from? Or where to you plan to get them?

    I'm currently stalking a pair on bridalshoes.ie

Anyone have any experience with them?

What style did/are you going for?? :)

Didn't even know that site existed thanks!

I'm looking for a wedge heel... but not too high because my fiancé isn't that much taller than me!

I'm so bad with heels, I'm almost thinking of wearing a pair I already know I can walk in....
That said, New Look is my fave, and Debenhams for an occasion!
Tall OH, so will need high heels with platform and def straps to hold them in place- Thinking silver.

I found Dune really good last year when I struggled to find my perfect pair!

I got mine from the store where I got my dress. They were converse style runners with ribbons instead of laces, the store had them dyed to match my dress. The bridesmaids got them too, and theirs were dyed to match their dresses also. Twas a great option for me because I never wear heels, and have a tendency to fall over, and adding a wedding dress into the equation would have resulted in me taking more than one trip to the floor during the wedding day!

I bought an LK Bennett pair called Shone about 6/7 years ago. They weren't white and I loved them so much I bought them before I had a date picked for the wedding and used the excuse of "wedding shoes" to justify the cost! They have been worn to death since and had the soles redone twice so they were worth it in the end!

Link to a picture of the shoes. I still have mine so this ain't me selling them :-)

    Oh they're lovely.

I don't think I could justify buying such a pretty dress and then wearing converse (or I've seen some brides lately in Ugg's under their dresses) underneath it... I know if you're wearing a long dress you won't even see the shoes really but that's just my view. Some of the bridal converse are lovely though.

I had these and loved them! I wore a tea length dress so they were on show and I didn't want anything too bridaly..I still adore them although I'm not sure if I'll ever wear them again! Sometimes, I just look at them in their box though!!

Would Uggs not just get totally wrecked if you had a rainy day? These were my shoes http://omg.wthax.org/558aQm.jpg and that's my sister tying my laces lol (first of many times that day!)

i didnt buy new shoes, i wore a pair i already had. i had bought them a few years previously in heatons for 12e.

they were perfect style for my knee length dress and more importantly, i knew they were comfortable and i could walk in them.

As soon as I saw these Vivienne Westwoods years ago I knew I wanted them for my wedding. Managed to get them on eBay eventually after much searching!

My wife and I wore the same shoes to our civil partnership. They were little ballet-type pumps, really soft and comfortable. Neither of us wear heels normally and we didn't see the point in being uncomfortable, especially since, with the long dresses, no one saw our shoes anyway.

As it was, even though the shoes were unbelievably comfortable I still ended up in my bare feet and my wife in a pair of these because we spent such a long time on our feet.

I wore a pair of Diane hassall shoe, quite low & comfy yet vintage. Loved them. Being able to walk is very important to me!

Absolutely love Irregular Choice shoes, considering something like this for the ceremony and photos and then switching to a pair of ballroom dancing heels later on.

I got mine from a seller on etsy Marc Defang ( he also has a website) I love them and as everyone will see my shoes (my dress is short at the front) I wanted them to be fab! I got them in the peep toe version and you can choose the size of the heel which is great!
    I can't post a pic so here's the link:

It would seem that I was terribly boring. I bought a pair of nude (although more cream really) patent heels from LK Bennett.
I love their shoes, wore these from 10am on my wedding day until the very end at 04:00 the next morning. I now own them in snakeskin, black and navy.
I've worn them many times since my wedding.

That's where I got mine too! I had coloured shoes because I had a tea-length dress and wanted pretty bright and colourful shoes. They were really comfy. I bought them thinking I'd wear them again because they're not white or bridal, but I keep them in the box and can't bear to wear them outside the house.

Heading to Brown Thomas on Saturday to find my perfect pair :) Don't want anything too bride-ish, colour scheme is mint and lilac so hoping to find a nice pair in either colour

I got these Irregular choice shoes. I love them so much and got them long before my dress! Can't wait to wear them :D

I found a pair of Jimmy Choo Bridal shoes on Ebay, but they're white... so I took them to a place on Charlemont Street in Dublin, they specialise in dyeing shoes so they're dyeing them ivory for me :D

They're a few seasons old but I don't care, I love them :D they were a bargain!! and the guy in the cobblers confirmed that they are genuine Jimmy Choos, delighted!

I am thinking of the above shoes by Kate Spade. I like that they're not too high and the glittery heel makes them seem kind of special. :)

Omg, I love those shoes, novella! If I could get them dyed the colour I want, they'd be ideal!

They're gorgeous, aren't they? They come in pink too, but that's probably not the colour you want!

No, I'm after a royal purple colour :)

Have a look at shoes of prey online. I've no experience with them but you can design your own shoes so you should find something you like

The shoes I wore for my wedding day I actually got them from my grad/debs! I got them many moons ago in Barratts. Quite similar to the style below only mine are more silver looking. I have gotten so much wear out them in the last 12 years! Nights out, weddings as a guest. What was important to me it that they are comfortable, I wore them all day well into the night. And have wore them to weddings since!

I think it's important to have comfy shoes on. My friend had the traditional wedding shoes white, sling back, pointy toes. She had to take them off by the time she was getting the photos taken after the church and she ended up wearing her white flip flops for most of the day.

lol! Unless you wear 4 inch heels every day anyway like me :) My 'party' or 'dancing' shoes are usually 5.5-6" so thats what I choose for my wedding - I got a stunning pair of YSL shoes that I love & will wear again & thankfully they are stupidly comfortable but I'm very used to wearing heels :)

Helps that my husband-to-be is 6 ft 7"!! Need to get up there somehow for the kiss :P

    Girls,
If I could wear them, i would get my shoes from Walkin on Air, an Etsy shop.
I have very high arches and need shoes with straps so I can't get them from there but have gotten my flats from them.
    Just gorgeous shoes.
