What is the cheapest website to get a car history check done?
Would be a bonus if it could combine a UK report as the car was imported.

Theres 3 decent sites and all can give UK history as well.
    Motorcheck
    cartell
    mywheels

Motorcheck works out at 35 euro
Cartell is 35, for ireland, Uk and finance check, but knock a tenner off that if its older than 8 years.
my wheels is 22 euro for ireland, uk and finance check, but it tells you before buying the report whether its a UK import or not.

    Another thing.
You'll see them advertising a thing called the national milage register check for ireland. Just to bare in mind, there is no official register, all milages are submitted voluntarily by owners/dealers.
While the NCT do record the milage that is on the clock when the test is carried out, under data protection, this can't be made freely available.

Thanks. I wonder why my wheels is €12 cheaper. Do the other sites offer extra information? They all looked more or less the same when I was looking.

A quick google search throws up a discount code for motorcheck:

    Vehicle Valuation:

Not that I would pay extra to get a valuation, but how accurate would these valuations be? Other then working off some code that generates a value based on input variables such as mileage, age, cost when new ect....

If you were to post a thread, with the car, spec, the year, the mileage, tax and test, number of owners, you'd get the value, or a good estimate of the value.

Alternatively go onto done deal and see what similar cars are selling for

Exactly. I was just wondering how accurately these valuations would be from the vehicle report websites. Probably just using more or less the same formula as the vrt does to base market value.
