Hi, I did some searching, but can't find answer to this, hope you can help...can a 05 Landcruiser 7 seat have the 2 small rearmost seats removed, and be then re-registered as a commercial?..sounds daft, but I've heard of a few cases where its worked...some change in the law now allows it?
Sorry if this is done to death, cant find info on it.
    Thanks

Not anymore and not with a 120 series anyway, the 100 series qualified for a small time with a volumetric measurement but that still meant they had to cut the floor out and fit a metal box to increase the volume.
That loophole was closed shortly afterwards.

Amazons now qualify under EU regs as an N1 commercial vehicle with 5 seats(I've measured and signed off on several, Pajero's, Patrol's also qualify) however the 2005 Landcruisers shouldn't as the rear door aperture is too small but some people are chancing signing off on them.

It seems you can get this done ,on land cruisers and troopers ! With just a mesh grill fitted ,so if they are getting done whats to stop me getting mine done ?
