Good luck in even getting an acknowledgment. I emailed them (and 2RN for pig-iron) last year, letting them know about a possible fault on Page 183 (synopses of movies on TV), where it will only support a maximum of 12 sub-pages. So, if there are 20 movies scheduled for the day, you'll only be able to see the synopses for the earliest 12. The later ones won't appear until the earlier ones have finished showing!

This problem occurs only on Saorview Aertel. The analogue-era Aertel still available on UPC is not affected.

Agree about the lack of acknowledgements. Anyone know the specific email address for the person operating aertel?

    errortel@rte.ie maybe?!

And the broadcast aertel pages (analog - on UPC) haven't been updated since Friday even though the website pages look right.

And other pages are getting worse - you can't view 321 for reviews or 351 for movie listings any more, it's just overlaid garbage.

They fixed that by Monday afternoon

Amazingly, as a poster mentions above, the original WST Aertel is still going on UPC. I am not sure if it is the last true teletext service left in the UK & Ireland. UPC Mediaboxes have an inbuilt analogue teletext decoder even if the TV itself can no longer handle it (Horizon may not have one though, I'm not sure).

Isn't it still on TV3 and TG4 on Saorview? In a basic level, Mind I haven't checked lately.
Saorview says TVs/Boxes MUST support Teletext if the channel has no MHEG5.
Freeview and Freeview HD says there must NOT be a Teletext Decoder.
Otherwise a Freeview HD tuner "works" on Saorview (for a given value of works).

On UPC TV3 have a basic message on page 100 directing people to page 888 for subtitles which is still running. TG4 appear to have a time and date header and little else, though a lot of their programmes have in vision subtitles.

Racing UK still has functional WST too. A friend of mine showed me it working on a Horizon box recently. Horizon also doesn't have the character set issues that the other UPC boxes do, so the page renders correctly.
